Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for over a decade. Alexandra is well-known for her the roles she played as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her professional career in showbiz early. She was a lead actress in television dramas as early at the age of 16. The Oscar-nominated film Downfall, her role as Secretary Traudljunge, Adolf Hitler's secretary was also highly praised. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Alexandra's professional career has included be involved in a variety of significant national and international productions. Among others, these projects include the British Biographical Film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. She was also an adjudicator at the Transylvania International Film Festival as well as The Cannes Film Festival.
